JCPenney — Review Alarms on a Unit in SC/SC+.

Review active equipment alarms inside the SC/SC+ platform and attempt the initial reset; dispatch a Corrigo work order when the alarm fails to clear.

Action plan
(1) Log into SC/SC+ and navigate to the main dashboard. (2) Review active alarms displayed for the site. (3) For RTUs / chillers / boilers, open the Spaces page to locate the affected equipment. (4) Select the specific unit to open its detailed view. (5) Open Settings tab and attempt the alarm reset. (6) If the alarm does not clear, follow the Dispatching a Corrigo Work Order SOP.

Purpose

Outline the steps to review active alarms on equipment within SC/SC+ and attempt initial alarm resets, so alarms are properly assessed and escalated when necessary.

Scope

All monitoring personnel responsible for reviewing and managing equipment alarms within JCPenney facilities using SC/SC+.

Procedure

Step 1 — Access SC/SC+
  • Log into SC/SC+ with your credentials and open the main dashboard.
Step 2 — Review Active Alarms
  • From the main page, review any active alarms displayed for the site.
Step 3 — Navigate to Spaces Page (If Applicable)
  • For RTUs, chillers, and boilers, open the Spaces page from the main dashboard to locate the affected equipment.
Step 4 — Select Affected Unit
  • Identify and select the specific unit associated with the alarm to open its detailed view.
Step 5 — Attempt Alarm Reset
  • Open the Settings tab inside the unit detail view and attempt to reset the alarm.
Step 6 — Escalation (If Required)
  • If the alarm does not reset or remains active, follow the SOP for Dispatching a Corrigo Work Order.

Quality assurance

  • Verify the correct unit and alarm were identified before attempting any reset.
  • Confirm the reset action completed or was properly escalated.
  • Ensure all alarm activity is documented in SC/SC+ or the designated tracking system.

Troubleshooting

Alarm does not reset.
Solution. Confirm correct unit selection and attempt the reset again. If still unsuccessful, dispatch a Corrigo Work Order.
Unit not visible on the Spaces page.
Solution. Verify the correct site is selected, refresh SC/SC+, or sign out and back in to restore system data.
No alarms visible on the main page.
Solution. Confirm filters are not limiting alarm visibility; ensure the correct site and system view are selected.

Documentation & reporting

  • Unit affected and alarm details.
  • Actions taken (review and reset attempt).
  • Outcome of the reset attempt.
  • Corrigo Work Order number, if escalated.
