Action plan
(1) Confirm the off-hours floor against the site's own overnight minimum — flag, do not auto-attribute (no weather/occupancy normalization in V1). (2) Walk the end-of-day checklist with the site: lighting/signage timeclock or contactor, HVAC night setback, no refrigeration case in continuous run. (3) Where sub-metered, attribute the residual draw to the exact circuit and point the site at it. (4) Energy Intelligence reads the meter — we guide the fix; we do not switch loads remotely.
Escalation
(1) Floor creeps week over week → refrigeration service check (charge / fouled condenser) or a stuck contactor. (2) Persists 2+ months with no fix → flag for the client at the monthly review (timeclock / controls retrofit candidate).
Prevention
(1) Timeclock / smart-thermostat scheduling on lighting and HVAC so the floor drops at close. (2) Monthly baseload-ratio watch per site to catch "never turns off" buildings early.
