Discharge protection trip.
The rack's discharge protection has tripped after its configured trip setpoint and delay — a protective shutdown that takes the whole rack offline and puts every case it feeds at risk simultaneously. The highest-urgency rack event.

- Preconditions
- Rack controller exposes the trip state and Disch Trip Stpt / Disch Trip Dly; feed health confirmed.
- Human role
- Primary — immediate dispatch and store/customer-ops communication; AI confirms the trip and assembles evidence.
- Action plan
-
(1) Confirm the trip state and time from the controller and whether the rack is down or in an auto-reset attempt.
(2) Raise the rack-loss product-risk path immediately — every case on the rack is now at risk.
(3) Assemble the pre-trip discharge trend and any correlated cause for the vendor.
(4) Dispatch the refrigeration vendor immediately with the evidence; recommend a product check per category as warranted.
- Escalation
-
(1) Trip with no successful auto-reset → immediate emergency dispatch and store/customer-ops alert.
(2) Trip recurs after reset → do not rely on auto-reset; escalate as a hardware/controls failure.
- Prevention
-
(1) Act on the discharge high-pressure and trip-approach alarms upstream so a trip is the exception, not the first signal.
(2) Calibrate Disch Trip Stpt / Disch Trip Dly per rack and review recurring trips as replacement candidates.
