Pump-down aborted or incomplete.
A pump-down sequence is aborted or left incomplete before it finishes. As with a pump-down that never reaches setpoint, an aborted sequence risks liquid return and compressor damage and points to a controls or valve fault.

- Preconditions
- Rack controller exposes the pump-down request/state and its completion; suction pressure and timestamps available; commissioned per rack.
- Human role
- Primary when a dispatch is required; AI confirms the sequence evidence.
- Action plan
-
(1) Confirm the sequence started and was aborted/left incomplete from the request/state and completion evidence.
(2) Distinguish a controls-driven abort from a mechanical inability to complete.
(3) Correct a controllable cause remotely where exposed.
(4) If mechanical, dispatch the refrigeration vendor with the sequence and suction evidence.
- Escalation
-
(1) Aborted pump-down with compressor behavior indicating liquid return → asset-protection dispatch within SLA.
(2) Recurring aborts on the same rack → controls/valve review candidate.
- Prevention
-
(1) Commission the pump-down sequence and its completion criteria per rack so an abort is scored on real evidence.
(2) Review racks with recurring aborts for valve/controls faults at the MBR.
