Purpose
Ensure special events are correctly added to a Tractor Supply store's schedule in Envoy, allowing temporary changes (inventory, early delivery, renovations, holidays) without disrupting the regular schedule.
Scope
TSC staff, schedule administrators, and retail personnel responsible for managing store schedules in Envoy.
Procedure
Step 1 — Select the Store
- Navigate to the store where the schedule adjustment is required.
Step 2 — Navigation → Schedules
- Open the schedule management menu for the selected store.
Step 3 — Click Change Schedule Details
- Access the detailed schedule options.
Step 4 — Click Add Event
- Begin creating the special event.
Name the Event
- Enter a descriptive name (e.g. "Late Opening", "Early Start").
Choose the Event Type
- Single Day (e.g. inventory).
- Date Range (e.g. renovations).
- Repeating Monthly (e.g. third Thursday).
- Repeating Yearly (e.g. Christmas).
Set Event Behavior
- Select Modify Schedule so the event runs alongside the regular schedule rather than replacing it.
Set the Date of the Event
- Choose the specific date or date range.
Set the Event Time (Start/End)
- Early Start: lights on at 4 AM, store opens at 8 AM → event 4–11 AM; regular schedule resumes at 11 AM.
- Early Start + Late Closure: store 8 AM–8 PM but client needs lights 4 AM–11:30 PM → event 4 AM–11:30 PM.
- Early Closure: store closes 8 PM, needs to close at 6:30 PM → event 8 AM–6:30 PM (overrides regular schedule for that day).
Important Notes
- Ensure the event overlaps part of the regular schedule for a clean transition back.
- Double-check for timing conflicts with the regular schedule.
- Mirror regular schedule behavior before and after the event to avoid operational gaps.
