Controller fault code.
A unit's controller raises a fault code without necessarily taking the unit fully out of service — a drive fault, a safety-circuit fault, a leveling or brake fault. Captured, severity-classified against the agreed fault map, and routed to the maintenance provider before it becomes a stoppage.

- Preconditions
- The controller fault register is exposed over the OEM monitoring interface or mapped to points, and a fault map that classifies codes by severity has been agreed with the provider per equipment make / model.
- Human role
- Primary — Keedian reads the controller fault register and raises the alarm; diagnosis and repair are the certified maintenance provider's. Operators classify the fault against the agreed map and coordinate the referral.
- Action plan

(1) Capture the fault code and classify it against the agreed fault map — safety-circuit and brake faults are treated as high; informational codes are logged and trended, not dispatched.
(2) Attribute the fault to the specific unit and include the code and its meaning in the referral.
(3) Refer a dispatchable fault to the maintenance provider with a recommended action; log-and-trend the informational ones for the monthly review.

(1) A safety-related fault code (safety circuit, brake, overspeed) → refer out of cycle; do not wait for the routine report.
(2) A fault code recurs on the same unit → flag it for a deeper provider engagement rather than repeated one-off referrals.

(1) Agree the fault map (code -> severity -> action) with the provider per make / model at onboarding so classification is consistent.
(2) Trend fault frequency per unit so a developing fault surfaces before it strands the car.
